Zain Receives ISO 45001 Certification for Occupational Health and Safety

 Al-wakaai news : Zain Jordan has been awarded the) ISO 45001(certification the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) granted to organizations that ensure a safe and healthy working environment and promote a strong safety culture across their operational processes.

This certification reflects Zain’s commitment to implementing best international practices and the highest efficiency standards in this field, as well as the continuous development of occupational health and safety systems across the Company’s buildings and retail outlets. These efforts aim to foster a safe and sustainable working environment, ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and customers, and comply with both local and international regulations.

The certification represents an advanced milestone added to Zain’s track record of achievements, as the Company integrates occupational health and safety concepts into its daily operations, contributing to the creation of a responsible and sustainable work environment that places employees at the forefront of its priorities.

Zain obtained this certification after successfully passing comprehensive audit processes, which included reviewing policies, procedures, and approved systems, along with conducting a thorough assessment of occupational health and safety practices. The evaluation process covered several stages, including gap analysis and review of the existing safety system, documentation and development of general safety guidelines, training phases that involved system deployment and employee training, internal audits to review performance and address gaps, in addition to the final audit stage.

It is worth noting that Zain recently obtained the EDGE Green Buildings certification, awarded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in collaboration with GBCI. With this achievement, Zain became the first telecommunications company in Jordan to receive this prestigious international certification, reaffirming its commitment to applying global standards in energy, water, and material efficiency, and adopting responsible operational practices that help reduce environmental impact and strengthen corporate sustainability.
